Life in Jersey
Jersey offers an excellent lifestyle: a good working and living environment, great family recreation options, and excellent education, sports and leisure facilities and entertainment. There is a wide choice of very high quality restaurants, offering everything from the very fine local seafood and produce, to international options including French, Portuguese, Polish, Chinese, Indian and Thai cuisine.
There is an exciting organised sports scene, including competitive leagues in popular sports such as football, rugby, hockey, cricket and volleyball. The island also has excellent facilities for non-team sports, such as golf, tennis, cycling and watersports. For the less sporting, there is a vibrant arts community, the island attracting high profile international artists for local performances and exhibitions.
Education is of a high standard. Jersey follows the UK system with the exam results achievements within the top quartile. There are free states schools, fee-paying states schools and private fee paying schools.
